Given how rare they are and only a zoochatter would be so desperate to see them, is it possible that someone was you?I watched someone try to meow an Iberian Lynx out of hiding today.

Dear GodThe last time I went to the Cincy Zoo, I heard someone say, not exadurating and I quote " Why don't they turn on the lights in Night Hunters?".Sigh.

Isn't the nocturnal house supposed to house diurnal creatures?Last night I was at Bronx I heard people complaining that it was "too dark" in the nocturnal section of the Mouse House...

Probably just a dialect issue. I've always pronounced it with the Ch sound. Not at the zoo, but I heard this a school today:
"Wait. Ostrich is spelled with a "ch" and not a "ge"?!
Yeah, I know, but I'm pretty sure that, like most non-primates, they have very delicate hearing and can do without a stupid human shrieking in the same enclosed area.Fruit bats are loud themselves, one time I heard some screaming, I was thinking it was some kid but it was a trio of bats arguing over some fruit.
Just wondering, if they have delicate hearing and are sensitive to loud noises, why do scream so loud themselves? You know what I mean?Yeah, I know, but I'm pretty sure that, like most non-primates, they have very delicate hearing and can do without a stupid human shrieking in the same enclosed area.
The bettongs probably hate it too.
Hmm, to a point. They probably use different frequencies too, and just because they make loud noises doesn't necessarily mean they like them. Us humans can scream, but generally we dislike hearing others scream.Just wondering, if they have delicate hearing and are sensitive to loud noises, why do scream so loud themselves? Like everyone on this site, I hate it when I get on a safari bus or another vehicle and there's always some obnoxious six-year old who is screaming his ass off.
Probably. Though then again, so many animals are going extinct because some spoiled toddler is scared of them/wants one as a pet.Is this why the Nubian wild ass became extinct?
Nah, it was the ass-ass-ins. They needed them for symbolic reasons. Is this why the Nubian wild ass became extinct?
