Planet Zoo Planet Zoo!

The game comes out in 10 days and I can hardly contain myself. Although I won't be able to get it until Christmas. Is the DELL Inspiron 5680 gaming desktop good enough to run planet zoo at all?

I was looking forward to Planet Zoo, but having learned of the heavy system requirements and the fact that it will be available only through Steam purchase via credit card or PayPal has been a real disappointment for me.

I will not be able to purchase the game and I won't be able to run it on my laptop either and there's nothing I can do about that sadly. I was looking forward to having a Zoo Tycoon-like game again, but you can't always get what you want...

You are not alone :(

Why through steam is an issue?

Steam is free download, and if your worried about paying online you can buy vouchers for steam.

Was the black wildebeest post yesterday in additional to the common wildebeest?

Or is it just confirming the species we are getting in game?

Black wildebeest is confirmed but we haven’t seen, or had mentioned I think, common wildebeest.

Here is my Planet Zoo mammal wishlist. There may be some species I might have missed but I really hope many of these will get included in the future as I want to recreate Chester Zoo and maybe some other UK zoos.

I also hope that it will be easy to build Oakfield house and the stable block in the game.

Interesting, although I can only see around 18-20 of them being included :) , but like you I would love to have the mentioned animals in there...

While we wait, what are you all going to build?

Quite a bit of planning has gone into this and it relies on the data-mined animals being in (if they aren't, the others just get bigger exhibits)...

Central 'old' zoo area with 19th and early 20th century buildings; with a primate house (gorillas, bonobos, orangutans, mandrill, macaques, howler monkeys, lemurs), reptile house (gharials, 2x species of giant tortoise, komodo dragon, Nile monitor, saltwater crocodile, American alligator, + all the terrarium herps), pavilion with radiating paddocks for ungulates (Baird's tapir, dromedary camel, red deer, peccaries), 'Tecton' style invertebrate house (all the terrarium inverts), converted bear pits (jaguar and Iberian lynx), nocturnal house for pangolins and a temperature controlled dome for penguins.

Rest of the zoo themed zoo-geographically around national parks in Nepal, sub-Saharan Africa, North-East Asia, North-West US and Canada.

Chitwan: Bengal tigers and a peafowl walkthrough
Bardia: Indian rhinos and Indian elephants with a temple for a house
Manaslu: Snow leopards and red panda

I'll have primates next the primates, which are across from the primates, but I'll also have a primate exhibit that servers as the 'entrance exhibit' to some exhibits for primates. (I'll also have Asian Elephants, African Wild Dogs, Pygmy Hippos, and Hyenas dressed up in gorilla costumes to fit the theme.)

What! A zoo without primates! How could you:eek:.
