I'd assume it'd be some sort of Native Wildlife Permit, they're easy to get.

Tame badgers are extremely common in Wisconsin roadside zoos. Of course, I've never owned one, but it seems to me they would make okay (if a bit destructive) pets.Probably depends on what state you live in. Although, having worked with an American Badger I certainly wouldn't recommend them as pets!

On the other hand, I saw an Asian leopard cat. Some Palawan and Javan porcupines are available as well. I also saw an American Badger.
