Yes,the original reopening petition but he funding petition which this thread is about is not rejected yet...
It is still good however to see which so many people are trying to reopen or fund zoos!

This thread is about the original 120,000+ signature funding petition. My question was why would anyone start another different petition with a new title and post it under this thread, especially when it might deflect attention from the first and 'water down' its numbers...
Some of the public already seems to think that Zoos are lying and trying to get more money, as they believed the original announcement that the Government were giving zoos £100m, and assumed it was true!

Simple answer to your question they thought it would be a good idea, but what they didn't realise it lowers the number of signatures on the first one!

Yes of course. Lets hope it only gets distributed to those people who have signed the first one. We would not want to 'bombard' our supporters with yet another request, especially given their underlying suspicion that all zoos have already been helped...
