Who here loves seafood? If so what is your favorite kind?
Here is my seafood list ranked:
1. King Crab (red king crab is my favorite out of all the different king crabs...I wear a thick glove and use paper towels, when I’m handling king crab to avoid the spikes and spines. If you know how to protect yourself from the spiky and spiny shell, the meat is SO worth it)
2. Snow Crab (I prefer the larger Bairdi Crab, but Opilio Snow Crab is awesome in its own right, I will gladly destroy Opilio crab clusters anytime I can get it)
3. Dungeness Crab (it does taste similar to North American Atlantic (Maine) Lobster, but I prefer crab over lobster everyday, any day)
4. North American Atlantic Lobster (speaking of the devil, in my opinion, it’s not as tasty as crab, but it is heavenly!!)
5. Sea Scallops
6. Bay Scallops
7. Shrimp (I prefer jumbo shrimp, but I’ll take any size I can get)
8. Clams (I’ve only had littleneck clams)
9. Mussels (I’ve only had Prince Edward Island Mussels)
10. Salmon (my absolute favorite fish, it is so tasty)
11. Flounder
12. Codfish
13. Blue Crab (I much prefer Alaskan crab over Atlantic Blue Crab, but it’s decent, it’s just not nearly as tasty as its Alaskan counterparts though)
14. Tuna (I don’t mind the pungent odor that’s associated with tuna at all, its actually very tasty and can be used multiple different tests
15. Calamari (I do genuinely like it, but often times it’s overcooked and rubbery)
16. Catfish (I don’t like the texture of the meat).
Seafood I haven’t tried yet, but want to try
1. Florida Stone Crab
2. New England Rock Crab
3. South African/Australian Lobster Tails
4. Swordfish
5. Shark meat (I sincerely apologize to all the shark lovers on ZooChat...I love sharks, but I want to eat some one day)
6. Rainbow Trout
7. Crawfish (the meat does look good, but it comes in very small quantities)
8. Oysters
