I prefer to stay down-to-earth over building castles in the sky.
Of course, even Neomys fodiens (the venomous mammal I imagine you have the best shot at obtaining) is a very nice species indeed, and certainly around in private hands

Off the top of my head, I remember seeing mounted solenodonds at Vienna, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, NYC and Leiden. Maybe also Paris, Prague and London.I mean I have visited quite a few natural history museums in Europe and I haven't yet seen a specimen of a solenodon.

Given the short lifespan, ferocious feeding habits and visibility / attractiveness for visitors of shrews, both common vampire bats and slower loris are more prevalent on my plans for the future. However, several steps behind lionfish, freshwater stingrays, common quail, African spur-winged goose, Western green mamba and Malaysian king cobra.Of course, even Neomys fodiens (the venomous mammal I imagine you have the best shot at obtaining) is a very nice species indeed, and certainly around in private hands

I never figured you for a Nosferatu but I suppose that will come in handy for those future vampire bats.
