Off the top of my head, I remember seeing mounted solenodonds at Vienna, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, NYC and Leiden. Maybe also Paris, Prague and London.

Probably much more common in museums in Germany I imagine.

I have been to NYC, Paris and London but didn't see any there (though perhaps I was unlucky in Paris and NYC as had limited time and solenodons were unfortunately not on my radar back then).

Of course, even Neomys fodiens (the venomous mammal I imagine you have the best shot at obtaining) is a very nice species indeed, and certainly around in private hands
Given the short lifespan, ferocious feeding habits and visibility / attractiveness for visitors of shrews, both common vampire bats and slower loris are more prevalent on my plans for the future. However, several steps behind lionfish, freshwater stingrays, common quail, African spur-winged goose, Western green mamba and Malaysian king cobra. ;)

Confused by the inclusion of Spur-winged Goose and Common Quail on this list of otherwise venomous creatures...

As previously mentioned in a WdG thread, both avian species can be poisonous.
