This is a thread for people to talk about zoo animal diets. If anybody wants to ask me about a specific animal's diet, I can let you know what it is.
I don't but I would look on mazuri.com. That is where a lot of zoo diets come from. I'd also compare it to that of a domestic sheep as well.Do you have by any chance information on the specific diet given to Bighorn sheep (so including hay composition, herbs commonly fed etc.)? I've been trying to estimate it based on a Barbary sheep manual I found as they fill in similar niches in the wild, but chances are slight differences are present.
Do you have by any chance information on North-American native rodents like cactus mouse or cotton rats?I've got lots of information on the diets of smaller exotic species, as I have a massive care document where I store the husbandry information of several species. For example, I have information on several porcupine species and Southern tamandua.

These days for most species groups you can find pellets indeed. The problem with such pellet foods is that they are often too good at feeding animals. For most species I'm actually mostly looking for food that has a low nutrition value per volume or that is easily dispersed, and how much of this food can be given instead of highly nutritional food like pellets.I don't but I would look on mazuri.com.
