With a barrier it wouldn't be a walk-through exhibit right? Penguins are not really dangerous. My home zoo has also Humboldt penguins and African penguins in a walk-through exhibit (in seperate exbibits) together with Flying steamer ducks. A lot of times they are just standing on the path and you can just walk past them. But the fact that there is no real barrier (well, besides the water of corse) between penguins and animals,

Yes, and also the old (Dierenpark Emmen) and new (WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo Emmen) zoos in Emmen had a walk-through exhibit with Humboldt penguins.Zooparc Overloon also has a walkthrough exhibit with African penguins right?
Almost forgot about them ;DYes, and also the old (Dierenpark Emmen) and new (WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo Emmen) zoos in Emmen had a walk-through exhibit with Humboldt penguins.
On photo's it doesn't look like a walk-throug but i never went to Dierenrijk so i'm not sure. Beekse Bergen is also not a walk-throug, so it's 50-50.BTW I would almost assume that Libéma really likes their walkthrough penguin enclosures. I wasn't sure whether the penguin enclosure in Dierenrijk is also walkthrough but it wouldn't surprise me![]()
