Unusual Walk-Through Exhibits?

The NaturZoo in Rheine has an unusual walk trough exhibit, thespecies (Humboldt penguin and inca tern) are not anythink unusual. But the fact that there is no real barrier (well, besides the water of corse) between penguins and animals,

When I went to the Taronga Zoo a couple years ago, I remember in one of their aviaries I saw Brush Tailed Wallabies, Platypus, Eastern Water Dragons, a couple other species of lizards, and a whole lot of birds all in the same aviary.

With a barrier it wouldn't be a walk-through exhibit right? Penguins are not really dangerous. My home zoo has also Humboldt penguins and African penguins in a walk-through exhibit (in seperate exbibits) together with Flying steamer ducks. A lot of times they are just standing on the path and you can just walk past them.

Zooparc Overloon also has a walkthrough exhibit with African penguins right?

Yes, and also the old (Dierenpark Emmen) and new (WILDLANDS Adventure Zoo Emmen) zoos in Emmen had a walk-through exhibit with Humboldt penguins.
Almost forgot about them ;D

BTW I would almost assume that Libéma really likes their walkthrough penguin enclosures. I wasn't sure whether the penguin enclosure in Dierenrijk is also walkthrough but it wouldn't surprise me :P

On photo's it doesn't look like a walk-throug but i never went to Dierenrijk so i'm not sure. Beekse Bergen is also not a walk-throug, so it's 50-50.

I believe Magdeburg has a Sandcat walk-through enclosure in Africombo.

In my opinion unusual walk-throughs are the raptor/vulture aviaries in Pairi Daiza and Blijdorp. In both they house secretary birds, a species that seems to be very docile luckily enough with their powerful kicks. Pairi Daiza also keeps Long-crested eagles in theirs. It seems that most raptors are docile enough for such walk-throughs, as I have also seen red kites, black kites and some sort of falcon in a walk-through.
