The last cougar died. This exhibit will be used to enlarge the exhibit from the black panther.

Polarbear Rocky from Monde Sauvage has arrived in AquaZOO (Netherlands) to join the other male Felix. AquaZOO has now a bachelor group.
In Monde Sauvage there are still two females, mother (Blanche) and daughter (Qanik).

Duerener1, mentioned a (new) polar bear male has arrived in Monde Sauvage.
According to the park the male should arrive soon, they don't confirm his name. The new male must pair up with the youngest female Qanik (10y).
The enclosure for the asian black bears (no longer in the collection??) has been occupied by the brown bears. The brown bears have acces to both the bear-enclosures at this moment.
The empty enclosure from the lynx (past away) will be connected to the enclosure from the amur leopard. The old cougar enclosure has already been connected to the enclosure from the black panther.

An African white-backed vulture (Gyps africanus) chick has hatched at Monde Sauvage.

The parc placed an extra (play)tower with slide on the island from the Orang-utans.This is to lure the orangutans out more. For now it seems to work well.

Is there anything known yet about the gender of the animals?At least 3 Maned wolves born at Monde Sauvage
Not mentioned in the park's post, and they looked a bit young in the picture for their gender to already have been determined.
According to the message linked below, Monde Sauvage now displays Common brushtail possum and Western woylie.

Next to the rhino's the walking-safari gets an expansion (the enclosur for the rhino's has also been enlarged during the winter). Thanks to a new viewing point the visitors from the walking-safari will be able to have a good and better oversight on the car-safari.
