Planet Zoo Planet Zoo!

Planet Zoo and its respective DLCs are on sale now (The Deluxe Pack is 35% off, from Artic Pack to Australia Pack they're 30% off, Aquatic Pack is 20% off and the game itself is 50% off), The SEA animal pack is not on sale due to its recent release for anyone wondering
Nice to know. Prices are quite lower now. Been thinking about buying the complete game for myself as the shared acount that I play has been bringing glitches.

Yeah, the game always goes on sale every couple of month, which it's good for people that want to buy it but not at full price, because let's be honest, it's not worth yet its 60$/Euro.

Yeah unfortunately I have to agree, it's not really worth the full price. Just about everyone waits til a sale comes around.

For being the "Ultimate Zoo Simulator Experience" it still lacks of many features that real zoos have: aquriums, aviaries, ambassador animals, animal shows (eg. Birds of Prey predatory display), animal meetings and many other little features

ambassador animals, animal shows (eg. Birds of Prey predatory display),

These I feel would be very tough to pull off. Particularly for the logistics; however ZT2 had marine shows so possibly it's not too hard?

Aviaries and aquariums are definitely doable, again looking to ZT2. (And yes the main game doesn't have aviaries, but the mods work quite well; either way it's possible on that old game so no reason it can't be here)

You are right, but I've got some suggestions: for the ambassadors, a new type of staff which can be assigned to an animal (eg. Aardvark, Binturong, Lemurs etc.) and they'll go around the workzone they're assigned.
For the shows it might be similar to ZT2, loop animations with predetermined "break zones", where the animal will stop before performing a certain action.

I have to correct myself, the SEA animal pack is 10% off

what do you guys think do we ever get our aviarys and birds or will that never happen?
Aviaries and flying birds are probably the biggest request Planet zoo players have been making nowadays, so I share the opinion of some people that say that if Frontier actually considers continuing the game, they will have to develop a pack that features the mentioned topics in a near future to keep the public interested, specially now that we have the mods, people will no longer be enough entertained with the regular packs that brings only animals and scenery pieces. There's need for more mechanics and animations, and consequently the animals that will use these.

Personally I don't think it's gonna happen. If planet zoo's lifespan is as most people expect, which is about the same as planet coaster, there's 2-3 packs left. We know Africa's one, North America basically has to be one. The last one could be an aviary pack, but with all the new mechanics that would lead into and a lot of potential difficulties, I think it's more likely they round things out with a European pack (light on the animals but lots of potential architecture styles), a new aquatic pack since despite it's addition, marine animals are pretty underrepresented and those mechanics already exist, or potentially even a fan request pack for the animals people want that were excluded from the packs they should've been in, like capybaras and gibbons.

I could very well be wrong but I think it's more likely they go with one of these options, unless they decide to continue supporting the game further into the future than people expect

This is true, and unfortunately something Frontier has not played well. The base game alone lacks many well known species that should have been included in the first place, not shoved into DLC as headers. We continue to get tweaked reskins in DLC (Malayan Tapir, etc) and more building pieces that half the community will rarely if ever manage to use. If we're really lucky we'll get an aviary DLC and an true aquatic one, two areas where the game is sorely lacking.
Also worth mentioning that the full official PZ roster is still below the full official rosters of both Zoo Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon 2. Even if you add the next pack it still beats neither. (Or in variety either for that matter.)
