Did you see the Guar from San Diego? If I'm correct Bronx received the herd, not Miami.
The San Diego animals should be integrated into the main herd by now so I probably did but I wouldn't know it.

I was at the zoo today. Is there a reason why the two males gorillas have been separated from the others?
Bronx has one bachelor group: Johari, Babatunde, Barraca and M'domo, they don't live with the females. Sometimes the other two males are hided or inside or even had any minor issue and the group isn't together.I was at the zoo today. Is there a reason why the two males gorillas have been separated from the others?
What happened to the Sika Deer?
Are these the Formosan Sika or a different subspecies? There are only a few left and are generally difficult to spot.

That’s unfortunate that they only have a few left, they are the only holder of Formosan Sika in the US right?Formosan.

Although I do know that this post probably has absolutely nothing to do with the posts that were already posted here on the album before. But regardless of that, does anyone know if the Bronx Zoo still has any living Black-and-Rufous Elephant Shrews (Rhynchocyon petersi) left on public display as of this year (2021). And if not, what other species did the zoo decided to put on display and use instead as their replacement. I would certainly appreciate everyone’s response to this post if possible, so please do feel free to give out an update upon not just the individuals that might be still left at the Bronx. But also the entire, currently existing population of elephant shrews that are left in North America as a whole.
Sincerely, ~ @Austin the Sengi
