Actually I think most people on this thread do care. It is sort of the point of it.
Agreed that @Kazaa67 's message was unnecessary, though it is worth noting that @Najade was already aware of the taxon he was seeing in his original post (he had it written down to subspecies carpatica already), and that Carpathian Chamois is not an often-split subspecies at all (more info here, but even on mammalwatching sites I only ever see it referred to a subspecies or at most a "potential split").

It has always been up to everyone individually to choose the taxonomy they want to use, so it seems a bit silly to then try and correct people that are using the widely-accepted taxonomy, definitely when it seems the original poster knew what they were doing...

Either way, I forgot my fish from France :D

FISH:
1) Eurasian minnow, Phoxinus phoxinus
2) Ocean sunfish, Mola mola
3) Big-scale sand smelt, Atherina boyeri

So my girlfriend decided she wanted to surprise me for our anniversary with a short trip to somewhere. After a little discussion, we decided on San Diego! The purpose of the trip was not inherently zoo or wildlife-related, and therefore only about half of the time we spent there was dedicated to those activities. With that said, I think I utilized the time I did have well!

All sightings from the grounds of SDZSP, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, the San Diego Bay Wildlife Refuge, or La Jolla Cove/Caves.

Birds
137) Cassin's Kingbird Tyrannus vociferans
138) Red-Shouldered Hawk Buteo lineatus

You have 173 twice - are you now one behind? Your last bird was numbered as 178 - should that be number 179 instead?

No, looks like I skipped 172 initially! Purple Sandpiper should be 172 then Spotted Flycatcher 173.
