A very neat captive-breeding result indeed. Outside Australia very few zoos have ever managed to breed shingleback skinks (even though they have been quite popular and regular zoo attractions of the Aussie herping kind.Three Shingleback Skinks hatched recently which is a success considering that they are hard to breed in captivity. Also 3 African Black-Crowned Cranes hatched as well. Their parents have been removed from the giraffe exhibit for the time being to prevent the parents from being too aggressive.
