The concept art for the future indoor hippo in Milwaukee has birds in the pictureCan river hippos be mixed with anything besides African cichlids?

I think the macaque and Serow mix would work. Seeing that mixes like Barbary macaque and Auodad work. But pandas are still rather agressive, they nearly killed a zookeeper at Pairi Daiza a few months ago. So I wouldn't mix them with anything
Interested to know details, they’re still sharing the lake.A reminder that one of Longleats Hippos did attack a Sea Lion.
My apologies it wasn’t a direct attack we know of. In this thread we were discussing Longleats Hippos and Zoofan suggested Longleats high Sea Lion mortality rate had something to do with the Hippos:Interested to know details, they’re still sharing the lake.

African Elephants have been housed with Warthogs, Giraffes, Zebras and diverse Antelopes (I would avoid the most aggressive ones, as Oryxes or Sable Antelopes).
African elephants can be kept with a lot of different ungulates and hamadryas baboons and Asian elephant can be kept with chital and blackbucks.

Yes. Franklin Park Zoo used to do this.Could bongos and red river hogs live together?
