I like that - a very 'usable' line up I think. Lots of classic zoo animals, and I was only thinking the other day there'd been no new antelope since the base game/Deluxe. The minor gripe of a third New World croc when we've no African ones at all aside - can't really fault it!

Damn, the Frontier really makes the Spectacled Caiman.....
 
The only one that disappoints me is definitively Spectacled Caiman, since we already have Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman. It looks like Frontier wants to use one or two Wetland species to represent each part of the world (except Antarctica as there is no wetland there),
Danube Crested Newt -> Europe
Red-crowned Crane -> Far East
Small-clawed Otter and Asiatic Buffalo -> Indomalaya
Platypus -> Oceania
Lechwe -> Africa
Capybara -> South America
Spectacled Caiman -> Central America
There is nothing here that represents North America, if the Frontier switches the Spectacled Caiman to Alligator Snapping Turtle or Roseate Spoonbill, then this DLC would be perfect.

That's exactly what I'd want, with either Red-Bellied or Crowned Lemur and made Giant Day Gecko or Giraffe-Necked Weevil as well but that would be too much in one pack.
 
But at least, when the Spectacled Caiman does become part of the game’s animal roster. We would only have to deal with five living species of crocodilian, as opposed to the nine species of cat, and fourteen species of primate, for example, that we already have in the game so far.

Yes, but at least the cats and primates look relatively different from each other, unlike many crocodilians. Dwarf and Spectacled caimans aren't enormously different except for size.

Indeed. As you guys already said, the level of difference of the crane to other species already in game is way bigger, and that's great we'll get an animal that did not only take them a little bit to readequate and turn into a new species. Also, of course, we now know the birds haven't been completely forgotten by Frontier. Am I wrong or is the crane the first new bird we get since the base game came out?

We got Southern Cassowary in the Australia Pack, King Penguin in the Aquatic Pack, and African Penguin in the Africa Pack.

Obviously most people like cats and primates more than crocodilians, especially the game already has Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman, Spectacled Caiman is almost like duplicate species.

Which I find rather odd as both the flamingo and Secretarybird in ZT2 almost 15 years earlier had limited flying animations, so it can't be that hard. That simple animation set allowed for all kinds of birds, bats, pterosaurs, and insects to be modded with flight. Pity we still lack it for PZ.

Yes, totally agree... I just hope we do get it at some point. Having a zoo game like Planet zoo with a lack of such important aspects would be really bad actually.
