The dinosaur replica models are now being moved into position for the new walk through experience near the sealions.
I think the gorillas (if there definitely getting them) will be nearer to the hyenas and the dinosaurs will connect to the gorilla area so it willl go all the way round the lakewhat a waste of an area. i thought this area was for the gorillas. i don't
know why so many zoos insist on having dinosaur models
Unfortunately not!have you got a picture u could show us

On the plans it looks like there’s two main outdoor areas and a offshow outdoor area in guessing that it would be a bachelor and breeding group. I think that if it’s a bachelor group the only one in the uk I could think is definitely lope from Twycross as he’s ready to leave I think (I don’t know many other places with Gorillas)

I would be very grateful if you would stop referring to me as 'the ape expert'. Others might think that this is self-titled rather than something you have invented. Thankyou.

Is there any link to these 'plans' for gorillas? I've seen nothing tangible as yet..On the plans it looks like there’s two main outdoor areas and a offshow outdoor area in guessing that it would be a bachelor and breeding group. Regarding males; there are four in UK that could potentially form a new group together- either at Yorkshire WP or at Twycross, where(afaik) a bachelor facility is also planned in the new ape buildings. They are; brothers Lope & Shufai from Twycross, Baaku from Belfast and Gernot from London. By the time any new gorilla holding is actually built at either zoo, these four would all be old enough to form a male group together. Of course as mentioned, other young males in Europe would be available too.
If YWP plan a future breeding group also, Blackpool have two homebred females, Meisie and Moanda, aged 12 & 8 years, which will have to move elsewhere if they are to breed. While surplus males are so abundant it would just be a matter of EEP choosing a suitable one.
Moanda was mis-sexed as a youngster, so is actually female.i thought that moanda was a male
