From the perspective of people from overseas, what are the rare creatures in Japanese zoos?

I am a zoo lover living in Japan. I started this because I wanted to hear the opinions of foreign zoo lovers. From a foreigner's point of view, are there any rare creatures in Japan compared to zoos in other countries? I would like to take pictures of rare creatures."

A lot of animals in aquariums are only held in Japan. Emperor Penguins, only one place outside of Japan has them (SeaWorld San Diego).

水族館の動物の多くは日本でしか飼われていません。コウテイペンギンは、日本国外で1か所しかありません(シーワールドサンディエゴ)。[/ QUOTE]
Did the Chinese Emperor Penguin die?

It is sad that the Japanese serow died in Europe.

Most Japanese native species are quite rare outside of Japan, and a lot of deep sea species in Aquarium (that is, if they are kept succesfully) a lot of species of pinnipeds and cetaceans kept in Japan are also rare in western world.

From my point of view, they are whales and sea animals.

Animals that live only in Japan (Japanese serow, Japanese pheasant, crested ibis, etc.) are rarely seen overseas.

Whales in Japanese aquariums are caught from the wild, so it's not a good impression

私からしたら、やっぱり鯨類とか海の動物たちですね。

日本にしか生息しない動物たち(ニホンカモシカ、ニホンキジ、トキなど)も海外では見る機会がとても少ないです。
I thought ibis could be found in China.
Japanese crested ibis also came from China.

Yes the ibis is not exclusive to Japan. But it's still a very rare species.

Some other rare species I can think of are the tiger sharks ar Churaumi aquarium, the African forest elephant at Hiroshima Asa Zoo, the doucs and proboscis monkeys at Zoorasia, the African clawless otters, among others.

Forest elephants are certainly rare. If breeding is successful, will it be global news?

I think in general people here would like to know more about Japanese zoos as well as rarely seen animals. There aren’t many members from Japan so any Japanese zoo pictures or news would be appreciated.

よろしくお願いします。

I look forward to working with you. I would also like to post a photo of a Japanese zoo.
