Yes, that's the old enclosure. At the end of the video, is that their old enclosure?
I don't think so. They changed the plan. Would have been great to get those two together. It works so well at Chester Zoo.This looks great. Are the gibbons still being put in this enclosure aswell. If yes does anyone know when. I think it is a shame I thought there enclosure was really good.
Hi all, does anyone know if the train in the zoo is running?
how will this work though with the current orangs. I'm presuming that Benji is still living on his own and the other 3 are together.
will this mean that the 2 groups will have to rotate for use of the outdoor enclosure.
how do the orangs access this new outdoor space.
is the old outdoor area going to be renovated as a new outdoor space or will it be an extension of the indoor housing
Used it in February xHi all, does anyone know if the train in the zoo is running?

Can't quite believe the day is finally here but Dudley's new orangutan outdoor enclosure is officially complete and the zoo's four Bornean orangs have been exploring their fantastic new space.
The zoo says that seeing them step over the threshold was a very emotional moment for staff and describe the new area as life-changing for their orangs. I'd agree, it must also have been completely mind-blowing for each one of them...
Benji (b. 1977), who joined the zoo in 1996, has spent most of his time at Dudley living in one of the worst orangutan outdoor enclosures in Europe.
Jazz has lived in the other original outdoor area at Dudley all her life since being born at the zoo in 1991 and the same goes for her daughter Sprout who has lived at the zoo since her birth in 2011.
Dudley's terrible old outdoor areas are all these 3 orangs have known for decades. Their idea of the world around them must have completely changed.
In addition, 33-year-old male Djimat, who joined the zoo only last year, arrived from equally terrible outdoor facilities at Aalborg Zoo in Denmark.
This new outdoor area marks a red letter day for Dudley Zoo and their stunning red apes.
The zoo also says they will now turn to redeveloping and combining the original outdoor space.

Very very well done Dudley.
Also, many thanks to @sloggervlogger for their video of the orangs in their new space.

Out of curiosity, which would you say are worse? Curious to know how much worse they can be than the Dudley urinals. If only that was truethere's significantly worse around!
