It's not me being rude, it's me being firm. Just saying "bear" when someone asks you what the renovations are isn't really an adequate answer.

A macaroni penguin chick has hatched in November. The egg arrived from SeaWorld San Diego as part of a breeding program.

On April 25th, the zoo announced the penguin's gender (male) and name (Linguini).

3 Grizzly Bears are now out on exhibit at the Central Park Zoo. Exhibit not fully open as the main ground level windows were still covered. Both upper level viewing areas were fine though. Watched for a little and they seemed pretty active, even going into the water and learning the rest of the surroundings.

Sorry, none of that information is posted on any signage yet. It looks like it may have been there first day out on exhibit, there were 2 people observing them on the top level with a laptop but they had a sign that said do not disturb them. I couldnt find anyone else to ask.

On May 26th, it was reported that the (0.3) brown bears were from Bronx (as previously noted by @birdsandbats), and their names are Amber, Luna, and Treena.
