On June 29th, the zoo announced the wolf's gender (0.1) and name, Saluda. It should be noted that Saluda's tail is missing after her mother stepped on it during the first 24 hours.

Also, some other updates from the facility, as noted by @Neil chace

- Red-crowned cranes, eagles (bald & golden), king vultures, and wild turkeys are back on exhibit, while the chickens and Indian peafowl have not returned.
- The black-crowned crane is now on exhibit with the African spurred tortoise.
- Blue-throated piping guan and white-faced whistling duck have been moved to the Greenhouse near Hasbro's Big Backyard.
- Giant otters are still off-exhibit due to habitat repairs.
- The snowy owl has been replaced by an American black vulture (which is a relatively new replacement, as the site hasn't been updated to include giant wood rail nor American black vulture, and remove snowy owl).

Went to the zoo today, here is what I noticed:

- The red river hogs and gibbon exhibits look like they have received an upgrade of some sort since the last time I've been (last year).
- The giant otters were off-exhibit due to the facility finding a leak (idk if its a gas or water leak, and if there are multiple leaks or just one)
- I did not get to see the chickens, Indian peafowl, red panda, red wolf, harbor seal, giant anteater, the aforementioned giant otter, giant wood rail (and basically every other bird located in the rainforest building), turkey vulture, Reeve's muntjac, common raven, and the prehensile-tailed porcupine.
- The harbor seal exhibit was stripped entirely, and the signage has been taken down. Oddly enough though some of the enrichment hasn't been removed.
- There seems to be another bird living with the blue-throated piping guans, white-faced whistling ducks, and Linne's two-toed sloth, although I don't have a clue on exactly what it is.
- They separated the Masai giraffes, maybe that means a baby is on the way? The flamingos and babirusas were also fighting.

Any pictures?

The seal went to Wood's Hole and the exhibit is currently empty. Chickens are off exhibit because of flu. I saw the red wolves and wood rail on tuesday. Didn't see the anteater in multiple stops at the exhibit, but there appeared to be one there, just hiding inside behind the wall. Didn't see any red pandas. Didn't go down to the muntjac, don't know where the porcupine and raven are supposed to be (I had to repeat the whole entrance walk because nothing was out when I got there, so I didn't do that loop with the muntjac).

I know all of that just didn't bother explaining every reason why I didn't see every animal lol.

The common raven lives in a tall aviary next to the tree house in Big Backyard. A lot of people don't realize it's there, so I'm not surprised you didn't walk down there (it's the only animal exhibit in what's otherwise a playground/children's nature play area). The prehensile-tailed porcupine can sometimes be seen in the greenhouse exhibit (same building as the Piping Guans/Whistling Ducks). I don't see it very often, but that could just be due to the time of day.

I didn't go in the greenhouse either, I figured it would be just plants! Learned my lesson there. There were so many kids, I really didn't feel like doing extra walking to check the play area for species. My aunt lives 20 minutes from there so I'll have to check next time I go back (though it had been 20+ years since I last went to RI, so it might be a few years :D)

Yeah, the greenhouse has had a recurring change of whatever animals the zoo needs to house there. Currently, it's the blue-throated Piping Guan, white-faced Whistling Ducks, guira Cuckoo, one of the sloths, the red-footed tortoise, prehensile porcupine, a Goliath birdeating Tarantula, and two of the snake-necked Turtles. All of the birds should be moving back into Faces once HPAI and the construction conclude, and I don't know about the other species (though there is another Turtle on exhibit in Adaptations). Previously, the greenhouse has held a variety of species, including as winter housing for some of the tortoises, housing for the Flamingos when Faces was being built, the temporary albino alligator exhibit, and possibly some other things. To the best of my knowledge, it has never been used as a permanent exhibit.
