Planet Zoo Planet Zoo!

I think for PZ I'll stick with historic-looking zoos cuz making modern-looking ones with moats is ridiculously hard. I tried to make an indoor tiger exhibit like the ones at Tierpark Berlin but the tiger wouldn't even go inside and I enclosed the exhibit with grade 3 over 10' high mesh because that's what the zoopedia said tigers need. The tiger climbed over the fence which wouldn't happen in real life. The game makes me feel EXACTLY like this guy... I'll just call the game Planet Agitation!!! And happy World Tiger Day!
AFAIK, Creative Mode in Sandbox'll fix that right up. Just access it via settings and game and you should be good to go!

What does creative mode do??? Its also so frustrating trying to get barriers in and out of ditches since the terrain tools are terrible and smoothing the bottom of a pit barely does anything.
Creative mode basically turns off escapes and whatnot. Past that, as far as barriers go, Freebuild'll smooth that out (no pun intended) and I mostly use null barriers around the exhibit, trimming it down and maneuvering the barriers as necessary. I use custom barriers anyway.

So no species can escape (jump or break) null barriers?

When you get frustrated there's not a skeleton of one of your favorite extinct proboscideans available as a mod you make it!!! This is the Blora Elephant (Elephas hysudrindicus) which is on display at the Bandung Geology Museum in Indonesia.

One thing that I think PZ needs more of is primates. Modders can't make unique rigs and animations yet, which a lot of primates need.
Especially New World primates, currently Columbian White-faced Capuchin is the only New World primates of PZ, that is definitively not enough, we need Night Monkeys, Tamarins, Marmosets, Howlers, Spider Monkeys, Saki even Uakari.
Also, herptile species are absolutely insufficient, no Chameleons, no Cobras, no giant snakes, no giant water turtles. Currently, there is no herptile for the Far East theme, so Frontier please stop making more crocodilians, may I get Chinese Giant Salamander, King Cobra, Mangshan Pit Viper, and Crocodile Lizard in the future?

The roster as it is isn't too bad - the two ruffed lemurs, Ring-tailed Lemur, Colombian White-fronted Capuchin, Proboscis Monkey, Japanese Macaque, Mandrill, Siamang, Bornean Orang, Chimp, Bonobo, and Gorilla.

Nonetheless I agree a squirrel/spider/howler monkey and a guenon would be nice at least. Sifaka and a tamarin if we're going to get especially hopeful.

Not bad at all but I crave more. Primates are just such a diverse clade.

I'd like a proper baboon species. Either Olive for the Zoo Tycoon 1 Nostalgia, Hamadryas for a more commonly-kept species with more striking gender differences, or the Gelada for ZT2 nostalgia and that lip-flip.
(Yes, I know Geladas aren't technically baboons, but you know what I mean).
Colobus would also be a nice addition.
I personally don't see tamarins happening, though. I feel like they're too small and don't spend enough time on the ground to make it into PZ in it's current state (although Frontier could prove me wrong).

I'd have a...

A howler monkey
A (true) baboon (Papio).
A spider monkey
A mantled guezera
A "generic" old world monkey. Either a vervet monkey or a crab eating macaque.
A sifaka
Aye-aye
A tamarin/marmoset

If I could somehow force Frontier to make a 20 primate pack, I'd add...
  1. Aye-aye
  2. Black-headed spider monkey
  3. Black howler
  4. Celebes crested macaque
  5. Collared mangabey
  6. Common squirrel monkey
  7. Coquerel's sifaka
  8. Cotton-top tamarin
  9. De Brazza's monkey
  10. Golden lion tamarin
  11. Golden snub-nosed monkey
  12. Gray mouse lemur
  13. Hamadryas baboon
  14. Lar gibbon
  15. Lion-tailed macaque
  16. Mantled guereza
  17. Northern plains gray langur
  18. Pygmy marmoset
  19. Vervet monkey
  20. White-faced saki

I agree on most of your points, but... I think some larger tamarin/marmoset species, like the golden lion, Goeldi's or cotton-top could be included; after all, they're about the same size as meerkats and prairie dogs, so why not?
Also, aside from baboons and colobus, I'd especially love to have spider monkeys (the red-faced or Geoffroy's could look very appealing), aye-aye and a sifaka species too. Slow loris and galago would also be neat, but I'm not counting on them

I wasn’t sure if we were getting Meerkats until the Africa Pack, so we could very well get Tamarins.
I’m doubtful because Tamarins aren’t really an “outdoor” species. And if they do make it in, I fear people will complain that they spend too much time on the ground or are difficult to manage due to their small size. I’d love to have them in my zoos (once I get the game…), but I’m not counting on them showing up.

Of course, I would love to have more primate species being incorporated into the game as well; even with the amount of species that we already have. But naturally, each of those things would need to make sense for one to consider on which type of primate Frontier will incorporate into the game the most.

Beginning off with the prosimians. I believe that the game should at least, have one (or two) more species of lemur-like primate; with the Aye-Aye and Coquerel’s Sifaka being two unique species of lemur that I would love to have in the game. Now as for other prosimians such as pottos, bushbabies, lorises, and the like. I would not expect each of those species to be equally demanding in terms of their popularity; but nonetheless, I would love to have at least the Bengal Slow Loris, (or even the Greater Galago) as a possible secondary choice as well.

For the New World primates, there would be a greater amount of different options for Frontier to choose from, if they ever decided to do so. But in terms of personal preference, I would be more than happy to have a widely-varied cast of New World primates being included into the game’s roster. With the Golden Lion Tamarin, Black-and-Gold Howler Monkey, Geoffroy’s Spider Monkey, Central American Squirrel Monkey, and the Peruvian Night Monkey being my preferred primates of choice.

Much like their American counterparts, Frontier would also have plenty of Old World primates for them to choose from, especially if any future dlc were to ever include any one of those particular species. In terms of what I would like the game to include, there might be a fewer amount of options for one to choose from, (given that we already have three species of Old World monkey in the game). But even still, I would expect, at the very least, see one or two of the following options being added into the game at some point. With the Mantled Guereza, Francois Leaf Monkey, Gelada, Hamadryas Baboon, Lion-Tailed Macaque, and perhaps even, the Patas Monkey, all being those preferred primates of choice.

At last, but certainly not least. I suppose that since we practically have all four species of great ape, in addition to the Siamang that was recently added in the latest dlc. I would rather careless if Frontier decided to not add in any additional species of gibbon. But if Frontier decided to do so, then I suppose that adding in either the Lar Gibbon, or perhaps, the Northern White-Cheeked Gibbon would be suitable enough to completely finish off the game’s ape roster. But then again, I would also be more than happy of having the Siamang as being the game’s only species of gibbon as well.

Absolutely amazing choices there! :D
I just hope at least one in each category gets added in, especially the new-worlders.

Amazing selection. I made all the species bold btw

I know Frontier doesn't want to make any exhibit mammal, but exhibit species is a better way of making very tiny primates like Mouse Lemur, Pygmy Marmoset and Slow Loris, they are in fact much smaller than some current exhibit species.
