So are they just going to use the exhibit to house more greater one-horned rhinos, and potentially breed them?As it turns out, Phoenix will be phasing out elephants once Indu passes. I have also realized that "Giants of the Asian Realm" is not an elephant-specific exhibit name, so I really should've seen this coming.
Probably. Chutti is at Phoenix for a breeding recommendation, so I imagine a he’ll be joined by a suitable mate once one is found (and once Indu is gone, I assume). So are they just going to use the exhibit to house more greater one-horned rhinos, and potentially breed them?
It’s unfortunate that Phoenix will be phasing out elephants, would’ve been wonderful if they had decided to house a bachelor herd.Probably. Chutti is at Phoenix for a breeding recommendation, so I imagine a he’ll be joined by a suitable mate once one is found (and once Indu is gone, I assume).
I find it kind of poetic that Arizona’s last Asian Elephant and first Greater One-Horned Rhino are living right next to each other. One story ends, another begins.
