No. There are no plans to breed at the zoo for the time being, however, Zoey will be leaving the zoo for breeding sometime soon. Also the older of the two young males, can’t remember which one, is castrated iirc.

Sorry to pester you @IndianRhino but where did you get the information about Fenn being castrated from?

The zoo's female elephant Mai Thai is starting to be separated from the other two elephants, Schottzie and Jati. I assume this is mainly due to the aggression incident between them last winter.

I'm assuming Sabu's move to Columbus may have then been to accomodate this.

It'll be interesting to see how this pans out over the next few years. If Mai Thai can't successfully reintegrate with Schottzie and Jati, then it might be best to send her to another facility before the Dublin herd arrive.

What happened last winter?

The incident last winter was between Jati and Mai Thai. Unfortunately, Mai Thai being the very subdominant female she is, took the brunt of the aggression. But i've heard Schottzie and Jati have been fighting too, so i'm not really sure atm.

On November 28th, it was announced they transferred a (0.1) striped skunk named Meadow to the Mesker Park Zoo in Indiana.
