Better than 'Brain' (other anagrams are availableThe new baby orangutan has been named 'Ranbi' to honour the former ape keeper, Brian Baxter. Not sure what was wrong with just calling him 'Brian' ....
I quite like iBran- the breakfast cereal of the future...
I'd have gone with Barni if pushed. Or they could have added the B from Brian's surname and got sponsorship from Airbnb.Better than 'Brain' (other anagrams are available).
This is welcome news. Well done to the team. My only fear is that CWP staff may have taken some ‘stock’ back with them? Let’s hope this is the first of many new arrivals! One for the regulars! Paignton have welcomed a young Binturong. It will be housed in the former coati exhibit.

An odd thing to fear, isn’t this?My only fear is that CWP staff may have taken some ‘stock’ back with them?
On reflection, I worded my thought’s really poorly here. It’s not a fear, just a selfish concern that the travelling CWP staff may have taken another species away from the dwindling Paignton collection. Re-gaining Binturong is positive though & I hope it’s a sign of things to come in ‘23. Cheers! An odd thing to fear, isn’t this?
There’s not even a mention that CWP staff travelled with the binturong, and even if they did, not all animal transfers are exchanges. Just feels like a needless dig.On reflection, I worded my thought’s really poorly here. Not a ‘dig’, just a tongue in cheek concern, a fair & well-founded one I feel. There’s not even a mention that CWP staff travelled with the binturong, and even if they did, not all animal transfers are exchanges. Just feels like a needless dig.
