There were also unsigned geckos in the common flat lizard and Egyptian tortoise exhibit at the Reptile House.I went to the Bronx Zoo today and I saw a pigeon in the African savanna exhibit at World of Birds. Can somebody identify what it was? It was not the Bruce's green pigeon, it was a light tan color. Maybe a collared pigeon of some kind?
I saw one of them actually. It was towards the back. Was at the zoo today and both Nile crocs were not on exhibit. Any reason why I always see them when I go.

Really? I wonder what species they are.The geckos are everywhere in the herp house. They're not an intentionally kept species.
Could be a Mourning Gecko, I've seen them in other terrariums at the Bronx. They're a species kept at many different facilities mixed with other herps like dart frogs. They're not considered part of zoo collections but they're usually intentionally released in exhibits to eat leftover bugs and stuff I think, although in some cases are feeder for other reptiles.Really? I wonder what species they are.
