This is going back to 2017.
Standing with a Black Panther, a woman who was talking to her 6-7 year old: Look, you can still see the stripes through the black!

All kinds of wrong in that 1 prase ...

A certain person at bird paradise called an emu an ostrich. ???? What was he thinking?

Boyfriend heard this one a while ago at Dudley, where the Armadillo house is next to the Wolverine enclosure.
I don't pay much attention to it anymore, but pretty sure there's very big multiple signs about the Wolverine with pictures.
And there's a sign where the Armadillo is too.

He said this person was looking inside the Armadillo house, couldn't spot it, then looked left to the Wolverine, and said: apparently the wolverine is an armadillo without it's scales

I find it funny how many people miss identify tapirs

I’ve heard people call them pigs

I’ve heard people call them horses

I’ve heard people call them hippos

And imo the worst comparison I’ve heard was an anteater.

I've heard this myth that Tapiers eat nightmares. It was interesting until I heard it whenever I went to the tapir enclosure. I've also heard Malayan tapirs being called Pandas...
