Shalom is a massive zoo, about 100 acres in size. The majority of the animals here (the "large ones") all get massive, multi-acre enclosures that are literally the size of some smaller zoo I have been too. However, most of the small animals get cramped, tiny wire cages. Some exeptions include a Coyote in a tiny cage and cavies in a multi-acre paddock. I actually do recommend a visit, as the ungulate enclosures are breathtaking and there are some notable rarities here, as well as some of the most lifelike animal statues I have ever seen. Also, this zoo has very nice signage.

Also Sulcatas, somehow forgot them.

Are we sure that they have Eurasian lynx and Syrian brown bear?
I talked to one of the people who works at the zoo and is one of those public speakers who just talks and educates the public when I asked him what species of lynx he said it was a Canada lynx so I am making sure that this is the correct species. also, I don't think Shalom Zoo has Syrian brown bears Are you referring to grizzly bears because that is what lost me
also a few updates from my personal experience at the shalom zoo

The lynx I saw was definitely Eurasian. That doesn't mean they haven't replaced it with a Canada Lynx since.

As for the Brown Bears, that's a bit more ambiguous. Both times I've visited, the Brown Bears have been signed as Syrian Brown Bears, but there is some question as to whether the animals in the private trade are actually Syrian Brown Bears or misidentified Grizzlies. So, while they were signed as Syrian Brown Bear, it is entirely possible they are, in fact, Grizzly Bears.

Some Syrians were imported a while ago, maybe 2000ish? And were then spread to several roadsides. So they easily could be old ones from that import (speculation on my part, since I don't recall precisely when the import happened) and offspring, and/or potentially offspring that are half Syrian. Wild Animal Sanctuary in CO was supposed to receive two from Lebanon a few years ago as well, and has several from closed roadside zoos.

If not Syrian, they're more likely to be European or generic than grizzlies.
