Shalom is a massive zoo, about 100 acres in size. The majority of the animals here (the "large ones") all get massive, multi-acre enclosures that are literally the size of some smaller zoo I have been too. However, most of the small animals get cramped, tiny wire cages. Some exeptions include a Coyote in a tiny cage and cavies in a multi-acre paddock. I actually do recommend a visit, as the ungulate enclosures are breathtaking and there are some notable rarities here, as well as some of the most lifelike animal statues I have ever seen. Also, this zoo has very nice signage.
