It's sad news. I didn't realize Menelik was the oldest male Grevy's Zebra in the country. He was also the last remaining Grevy's Zebra at Franklin Park.

I remember back when they used to breed. There was actually a time where an adult and her calf escaped in 2011, although that incident usually gets overshadowed by all the gorilla escapes

Franklin the wattled crane chick has moved to another facility, according to a Facebook post by the zoo.

On December 30th, the zoo announced they acquired (0.0.4+?) blue baboon tarantulas which are now on exhibit in the Slither Inn portion of the Tropical Rainforest building.

Wattled cranes seem to be brooding, wasn't able to see if there were eggs but definitely made a nest and one of them was on it my entire last trip, I feel like its kinda cold for eggs but I've never seen them randomly sitting on a nest before
