I am glad that Emmen is slowly clawing back territory as of old. Javan mouse deer are a nice addition (ex Artis I suppose ...?)! Where in the tropical hall? Two new species for Wildlands
A male Javan mouse deer arrived, that will be allowed to free-roam in the Birdy bush section of the greenhouse, a female will also arrive at a later date
In the Butterfly temple they're planning on releasing a pair of Superb fruit-doves. They've also been working on introducing red-legged honeycreepers here.

His name is Maison. He is said to be from Safari Park Dvůr Králové where he was born in July 2021.A new African lion male has arrived at Wildlands. The almost 3-year-old male arrived on May 8 from the Czech Republic. Behind the scenes, he will be introduced to the three lionesses in the coming period. The hope is that he and the oldest lioness will provide offspring, she is genetically more important than her two half-sisters.

The first breeding success in the Netherlands, as mentioned, was at Burgers' Zoo in 2020. The first breeding success at Wildlands was in 2023, when two chicks hatched.
