The zoo's single specimen of scaly-foot died some time ago.Does anybody know whether or not the zoo still keeps or displays Eastern Hooded Scaly-foot (Pygopus schraderi).

No I am not a regular visitor but I have been many times (my last visit was in 2021). I just look at most major US zoos' Facebook pages almost every day and post any news not yet mentioned on this forum. Are you a regular visitor to the San Diego parks?
Can I ask what is the purpose of doing that if other members are likely to see most of it within a short amount of time? If you were looking back for news from the past few months that other members didn't notice, as others do, I would understand because you're essentially double checking for information that has slipped through the cracks, but that doesn't seem to be your modus operandi. No I am not a regular visitor but I have been many times (my last visit was in 2021). The obvious answer to that is that it is news and this is a news thread. Not everyone looks at Facebook pages. Why wait for someone to visit and maybe notice something new? And if it is posted that X baby has been born (for example), then a regular - or non-regular - visitor will know it is something to look out for if it is of interest to them. Can I ask what is the purpose of doing that if other members are likely to see most of it within a short amount of time? That is, in fact, not the answer to my question. Of course everyone doesn't look at Facebook pages. I don't even have an account. Visitors of their local zoos often do see information online or through other mediums about those zoos and post them here fairly quickly. The obvious answer to that is that it is news and this is a news thread. I'm not sure what your complaint is then? Are you saying that only locals to a zoo should post in that zoo's news thread? That is, in fact, not the answer to my question. Perhaps I should not have written or asked anything to Nile Hippo Expert.
I don't have anything against anyone posting updates in threads for zoos that aren't local for them, no. Some of the tactics Nile Hippo Expert uses are frustrating to me but I suppose I shouldn't let them bother me.I'm not sure what your complaint is then? Very fitting to have Yun Chuan sent over, being the son of 'Zhen Zhen' who was born at San Diego back in 2007. Hopefully the Gao-Gao x Bai Yun lineage at San Diego will continue through Yun Chuan; would be awesome to have cubs that are great grandchildren of the previous pair. The pandas have arrived safely in San Diego!

The article clearly states this and as you predicted, unfortunately, they will not be on exhibit by Tuesday.I'm assuming they will be quarantined for a month or so before going on exhibit?
