As per Zootierliste, there is currently 6 zoos in the UK with Pallas' cats. These are:I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what Uk zoo have Pallas cat and a picture of their exhibits
I must say I didn't realise until now there was this small amount of holders and that they were all concentrated in the south, it is a shame somewhere up north doesn't hold them currently.
HWP would certainly be a natural fit. It's a shame that Chester's all died within a year of them getting the species.Agreed, I’m rather quite shocked actually as I assumed there were more holders! One would think somewhere like Highland Wildlife Park would have them.
Port Lympne has the best exhibit imo. Certainly the most interestingly designed.

I think Edinburgh is supposed to get some as reported on its news thread.

What caused the pallas cats at chester to dieHWP would certainly be a natural fit. It's a shame that Chester's all died within a year of them getting the species.
Pallas Cats have had a poor record in captivity. I think that Toxoplasmosis is the problem, carried by almost all domestic cats and often passed to human owners too, presumably by contact with saliva and faeces. Dont know about Chester though, sorry. What caused the pallas cats at chester to die
Was said at the AGM in June about getting Pallas Cats and I think they are going in the old Binturong enclosureI think Edinburgh is supposed to get some as reported on its news thread.

I believe the Big Cat Sanctuary is not open to visitors most of the year, not sure about the Cat Survival Trust (though I think this place is currently being investigated for welfare issues??).
