Paradise Wildlife Park Hertfordshire Zoo (formerly Paradise Wildlife Park) news 2024

I was very impressed by their sun bear exhibit. I felt it very obvious in the zoo of where the money has been spent, I agree the zebras have a small paddock for example. Thankfully it seems they’re going through their older exhibits and upgrading them (e.g. lemurs). Do they still have those two poor wolves next to that train and the loud dinosaurs?

Wolves were still there. Although not all animals dislike dinosaurs, Belayan the Orangutan at Wingham was watching theirs with great interest when I was there in 2020

I think they will be getting new lions - maybe even some from the big cat sanctuary. They have released a video about the move on Facebook and it talks about the move signalling an exciting new era of lions and conservation at Hertfordshire zoo.

Obviously if the enclosure is only 5 years old then I would have thought that more lions will be/have been sourced. Possibly joining the rescue path like BCS?
Guessing there's still circuses with lions in Europe?
very likely they could introduce one of the saved Ukranian lions to the zoo as BCS isn't a display attraction

I have a question but on the zoo map on the website right over by camp lion there’s a thing that says new for 2025 does anyone know what’s coming that’s new for 2025.

Now not that I'm jumping to conclusions (it's be months before these could move if they do) but 12 lions(1x male, females and cubs) have been rescued this week from a circus in France.
