Go to everythingdinosaur in the UK. Best Dino seller and blog sites in the UKI was wondering if anyone else collected dinosaur and other earlier animal figures as I am looking into making a collection of them like in Jurassic park type collection (small plastic models that is)?
Please post...Hey,
Just wondering if anyone else here collects minature animal figures? Like, the ones you can buy from Zoos gift shops? I collect Marine/Aquarium related Figures! I have lots of dolphin/whale/shark figuresIf anyone else is interested I can post some photos of them all! Been collecting for the past few years on and off
Ollie
I really love how you placed the animal figures in their natural habitat for the photos so it looks as if they were real!A few of the numerous new ones acquired over the last year.

For aquatic species, I suppose you can glue, tape, or use some other contraption to hold it up to the edge of the glass of a normal fish tank like an "underwater viewing area" you would see in a zoo or aquarium, or as if it was interpreted as a wild animal, to put color in the water with the appropriate water look/type of coloring of their natural habitat where they would generally be seen in the wild. For example, I would suggest that for a species which lives in the deep ocean and hard to find solid to use very dark water with a dark background with the animal only being visible by a flashlight, which in this case would represent the viewing for undersea specialists in a submarine. In the end, it is up to you, but this is just a suggestion for you. Thanks, it makes for a fun challenge and looks cooler than just sitting on a shelf. Aquatic species are a lot more difficult but I've got a couple I'm currently trying to figure out a way through.![]()

I love the dolphin pic!And one I don't think I shared on thread - in a drainage ditch taken by carefully wrapping the top 2/3 of my phone in plastic wrap and sticking it underwater while I simultaneously held the dolphin in very cold water!

I would just like to comment that those are some amazing photos and some great ideas you had here! I particularly love the great aesthetics you had surrounding the dolphin!I've done a few different things over time, but its difficult to stay consistent with something that routinely works.
Aiming down into the water -
Kitan Club Giant Salamander - technically a keychain but that's easy to remove and a very nice piece.

Wow your collection is really getting insane, congrats on 400 and here's to 400 more! I particularly love the Yellow-eyed Penguin and Water Buffalo photos!Where it stops nobody knows...
With a box received a few days ago my collection jumped well over the 400 mark, and brought the brand total to 18! Whenever it happens to hit the 500 mark it'll really be time to figure out the storage situation.
