New (and higher) climbing gear is being installed on the outdoor island of the Orang-utans.
I honestly expected smaller. It seems pretty reasonably sized to me.It does look very small to be honest.
Where exectly is it going to be built. From what i can remember the China area is pretty much full. Are the going to demolish an other exhibit ?Here's a short video that shows the future Golden Monkeys' exhibit.
No, they will simply extend the Chinese zone over unused land.Where exectly is it going to be built. From what i can remember the China area is pretty much full. Are the going to demolish an other exhibit ?
Do you mean in an aviary or as a species that will be flown on the show?
- there's new signage about the European Roller (obviously not seen !) near the Bird Theatre, I hope to see this species this year... ;
Normally all the species displayed in the bird show can be only seen in this show.Do you mean in an aviary or as a species that will be flown on the show?
That's what surprised me, I have never heard of rollers in bird shows.Normally all the species displayed in the bird show can be only seen in this show.
One can get a glance to the aviaries in the backstage, but not visit them except perhaps in some "keeper of a day" sessions, assuming that the program of these sessions changes every year.
Virtually all these species are off-show in winter.
There are already one or two African Blue-bellied Rollers in Beauval's bird show for many years.That's what surprised me, I have never heard of rollers in bird shows.
I know they also wanted to use the African blue-bellied rollers at Safaripark Beekse Bergen. Not sure if they included them in their shows actually.That's what surprised me, I have never heard of rollers in bird shows.
And departure of PANAMA, another Couguar (1.0, born in Beauval in 2021), transferred to Légendia Parc (Western France, near Nantes) in December 2024.Arrival of Tawa, a (0.1) couguar, reported on Howtank forum/chat.
