The construction of a new pavillion, Amphibiarium, has already begun. As it's name suggests, it's going to be dedicated to amphibians. It should open next year, if everything goes as planned.

Any information as to what species may be coming in or are to be exhibited at the Amphibarium?

The pavillion will be divided into two parts - a colder one and a warmer one.
I don't know exactly which species the exhibition will hold, but the plans mention a part dedicated to amphibians of the czech nature, then some whipping frogs, caecilians, South American frogs, amphibians of Madagascar, etc. Also mudskippers.

There are also plans on getting the Geoffroy's cat.
Going back to keeping lynxes in the further future was also mentioned.

0.1 Pallas Cat is already on show and a male will join her soon.
Události Ostrava on Instagram: "Do ostravské zoologické zahrady se vrátil manul - kočka s nejdelší srstí. Zoo Ostrava tak po 10 letech obnovila chov této otužilé kočkovité šelmy, která žije ve vysokohorských oblastech a náhorních stepích centrální Asie. Čtyřletá samice manula byla koncem minulého týdne přivezena ze Zooparku Chomutov, a do budoucna se počítá i s dovozem samce. Informovala o tom mluvčí Zoo Ostrava Šárka Nováková. Návštěvníci ostravské zoologické zahrady mohou samici manula vidět ve výběhu v blízkosti pavilonu Indické šelmy, kde původně přebývali rysi karpatští. Po úhynu staršího samce byl chov rysů karpatských ukončen, a místo bylo upraveno pro manuly. „Tento poměrně velkorysý prostor jsme poskytli manulům – kočkám, které představují nemalou chovatelskou výzvu. V Evropě je v současnosti chováno něco málo přes 60 zvířat, porody se za poslední rok uskutečnily v pouhých čtyřech zařízeních,“ řekl inspektor chovu šelem v ostravské zoo Matěj Vrúbel s tím, že cílem řízeného chovu je udržet populaci druhu v lidské péči co nejvíce zdravou a životaschopnou. Populace manulů je však pod něj nevelká, s relativně malými úspěchy při odchovech mláďat. Chov manulů přitom není vůbec jednoduchý. V přírodě obývá horské oblasti centrální Asie, a je skvěle přizpůsoben životu v extrémních podmínkách, zároveň se ale kvůli drsnému prostředí nesetkává ve volné přírodě s mnoha kočičími patogeny, a je tak poměrně zranitelný. „V rámci preventivních opatření jsou manuli jediné šelmy, které dostávají pouze přemraženou potravu. Při zamražení totiž hyne většina možných parazitů, na které jsou manuli citliví. Plánujeme také pravidelný odběr vzorků na vyšetření přítomnosti nemocí, které nás u těchto zvířat v minulosti trápily,“ přiblížil Matěj Vrúbel. Samotářský manul žije ve volné přírodě v horských oblastech a náhorních stepích centrální Asie až do výšky okolo 4800 m.n.m. „Životu v chladném prostředí je dobře přizpůsoben velmi hustou, až 6 centimetrů dlouhou srstí. Chlupy na břiše dosahují až dvojnásobné délky, než chlupy na hřbetě a bocích, a slouží tak jako dokonalá izolační vrstva,“ podotkla mluvčí zoo Šárka Nováková."

Zoo currently holds sole male lion and wish to obtain new female.
Facebook post also mention plans for enlargement of its lion facility, though probably in more distant future?
I guess that quite closer to realisation is a new exhibit for leopards (who inhabits same house as lions)

4 bearded vultures have hatched this year. One of them is currently at Liberec and another one is at Goldau, where they are being taken care of. There's a chance some of them will be released into the wild.

This year (2025) bearded vultures should be released for the first time in Balkan, namely in Bulgaria. It would be nice if any of these 4 chicks could land there.
 
One of the exhibits meant for small carnivores next to the La Pampa aviary is still under reconstruction. The jaguarundi's will be moved to that one later.
The current jaguarundi exhibit will house a completely new species instead - most probably the margays, since it's been said in the past that the zoo is planning on getting them.

But Geoffroy's cats still remain on-show, right?
 
 
Two bearded vulture chicks that hatched at Ostrava zoo this spring will be released (rewilded) in Bulgarian mountains on 17th May!

Wonderful news. Bearded vulture is localy extinct in Balkan. This is the first step in local reintroduction.
