Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo on Instagram: "Say hello to our newest (and rarest!) residents the Chinese Gorals! Chinese Gorals have arrived at the Beardsley Zoo! Native to the rugged mountains of Asia, these elusive creatures are part goat, part antelope, and 100% fascinating. ️. Originally from zoos in Kansas and Nebraska, this SSP (Species Survival Plan) pair is here with a mission: to help conserve a species you won’t see just anywhere. For now, they’re settling into the former tiger habitat, but soon they’ll move next door to our Red Pandas in a new exhibit alongside the White-Naped Crane! These mountain mammals are unlike anything else in CT, and they’re only at Beardsley Zoo! Plan your visit today.
