Taipei Zoo Taipei zoo news

2 years old, 5 years old, 9 years old, 10+ years old, 10+ years old.
A) Would it be possible the 10 year old/9 year old might include:
0.1 Lang Rong Zhi (b. 25.12.2015 2905 Taipei 2246 * 2360) and Chun Ai (b. 27.07.2013 2613Taipei UNK * 1918). Is this correct?
B) So, say both in 2020 and 2023 a calf was born at Taipei. I would assume either male Mei Zhong Zh? (b. 21.05.2009 2246 Taipei) or Chis (b. 24.12.2012 2506 Taipei) was the breeding male till somewhere 2022/2023 and then passed away?

Current holding status:
Barbary Sheep: 0.2
Sun Bear: 2.1
Asiatic Black Bear: 3.2
Besides, Malayan tiger "Arhaa" is still in quarantine.
Thanks for the update regarding the sun bears and Asiatic blacks. It seems Taipeh Zoo has made a long term commitment to more or less East Asian bear species (which is a good thing)! In terms of ages do you have any more information there and also as to breeding potential?

Does the Taipeh Zoo implement a standard 2-month quarantine (and not the usual 1 month timeframe) for international transfers with the male Malayan tiger?

Seeing what has been happening over the last few years ..., it seems that the hoofstock section is being managed for replacement. It appears with only 0.2 Barbary sheep and perhaps elderly specimens that the species will no longer be part of the future animal collection. One wonders how with the good number of phase outs in the hoofstock department what the future plans hold for Taipeh Zoo.
