What do zoos do with the Ostrich eggs that they don't hatch, do they just dispose of them? If that's the case, why don't they decorate and sell them, or would that be against regulations?
Ostrich eggs are often used as enrichment for large cats as well as reptiles such as Komodo dragons and Egyptian vultures are also known to crack them open using the means of small stones.

It would be against the law in the UK - IF it were a CITES listed species, unless a CITES sale exception had been granted.
Feathers, eggs etc are classed as 'parts or derivatives' and need the same licences as live animals.
