I find this to be a very nice category for the two respective zoos, I believe this to be very close and down to personal preference.
Tierpark Berlin:
ABH:
@Philipine eagle
@Shirokuma - Fantastic walktrough enclosure with lots of foliage and climbing.
Species:
Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo, Dusky Pademelon
@Philipine eagle - Enclosure for
Bear Cuscus where they have bred each year, since they are there.
@Philipine eagle - Nice
Northern Treeshrew enclosure.
@Green_mamba - Large rainforest hall inside the Alfred Brehm Haus with free flying
Indian Flying Foxes.
@Hvedekorn - Enclosure for
Souslik outside the ABH next to the 'small cat' enclosures.
Marsupials:
@Maguari - A pleasant walktrough enclosure for
Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby and
Eastern Wallaroo.
@Hvedekorn - A simple yet nice
Tasmanian Eastern Grey Kangaroo enclosure.
Monkey House:
@Philipine eagle - This fantastic enclosure is mostly known for its Primates, but it also houses
Lowland Paca and according to zootierliste
Southern Three-banded Armadillo, Black-rumped Agouti.
@Philipine eagle - This Madagascar enclosure should also be home to
Giant Jumping Rat.
The house should also be home to
Souhern Springhare.
Other areas:
@SivatheriumGuy If you take the 2nd entrance you will immediately be greeted by a great enclosure for
Black-tailed Prairie Dog and
North American Porcupine.
@SivatheriumGuy - 2 species of Mara are housed in Tierpark. The upper houses
Chacoan Maras, the
Patagonian Mara lives on one of the Kamelwiese with the Guanaco.
@MagpieGoose - An enclosure for
Brazilian Guinea Pig and
Common Degu.
Squirrels:
@Fat-tailed dwarf lemur - This fantastic enclosure holds the very elusive and rare
Red and White Giant Flying Squirrel in the Karl Foerster Garten.
@Philipine eagle - A viewpoint into the enclosure of the
Père David's Rock Squirrel in the Himalayas.
@SivatheriumGuy - Lush enclosure for
Swinhoe's Striped Squirrel.
@lintworm - Display of
Naked Mole Rat in the Giraffe House.
@Maguari - A simple enclosure for
Indian Crested Porcupine.
Other notable species in the park include:
Plains Viscacha, Gundi, Bavarian Pine Vole (bts?)
Species that are kept behind the scenes:
- New Guinea Short-beaked Echidna (have had offspring i think and sent to Zoo Berlin)
- Black-and-rufous Sengi (Great breeding results)
- Common Hamster (Have a dedicated breeding station where they have a lot of offspring)
- Steppe Marmot
- Yellow-spotted Rock Hyrax
Zoo Berlin has the numbers mainly due to their nocturnal house, but I think I will vote for Tierpark Berlin due to the species selection. I am open to be persuaded tho and will make a showcase if one isn't provided.
