As the title suggests, this one will focus on the MISCELLANEOUS MAMMALS category - as previously, the match will last for three days and although discussion of your reasoning and provision of supplementary evidence is not mandatory (except in cases of a 5:0 vote) it *is* very much encouraged.

Moreover, even if one does not feel comfortable voting, please do ask questions, post comments relating to your opinions on the evidence presented, and generally-speaking get involved in the wider discussion!

Actually a lot more than I remember at the Tierpark! Tentatively switching my vote to 3-2 for the following reasons:
  • Bear cuscus
  • The brilliant little tree kangaroo and pademelon walkthrough area. The best I've seen both species by a mile; a lovely, lovely exhibit.
  • Bear cuscus
  • The rock squirrels I thought were a lovely addition to the Himalayan area.
  • The giant flying squirrels.
  • Bear cuscus.

I find this to be a very nice category for the two respective zoos, I believe this to be very close and down to personal preference.
Tierpark Berlin:

Monkey House:
full

@Philipine eagle - This fantastic enclosure is mostly known for its Primates, but it also houses Lowland Paca and according to zootierliste Southern Three-banded Armadillo, Black-rumped Agouti.
full

@Philipine eagle - This Madagascar enclosure should also be home to Giant Jumping Rat.
The house should also be home to Souhern Springhare.

full

@MagpieGoose - An enclosure for Brazilian Guinea Pig and Common Degu.
Squirrels:
full

@Fat-tailed dwarf lemur - This fantastic enclosure holds the very elusive and rare Red and White Giant Flying Squirrel in the Karl Foerster Garten.

full

@lintworm - Display of Naked Mole Rat in the Giraffe House.
full

@Maguari - A simple enclosure for Indian Crested Porcupine.
Other notable species in the park include: Plains Viscacha, Gundi, Bavarian Pine Vole (bts?)
Species that are kept behind the scenes:
  • New Guinea Short-beaked Echidna (have had offspring i think and sent to Zoo Berlin)
  • Black-and-rufous Sengi (Great breeding results)
  • Common Hamster (Have a dedicated breeding station where they have a lot of offspring)
  • Steppe Marmot
  • Yellow-spotted Rock Hyrax
Zoo Berlin has the numbers mainly due to their nocturnal house, but I think I will vote for Tierpark Berlin due to the species selection. I am open to be persuaded tho and will make a showcase if one isn't provided.

This is one of those tricky ones where the voting structure causes the result to be more out-of-balance than is fair or accurate, I reckon - Tierpark Berlin probably deserves the edge, but not a 60-40 edge :D

Tierpark Berlin - 36/60 points - 60.000%
Zoo Berlin - 24/60 points - 40.000%
