Destination Discovery at the St. Louis Zoo is supposed to be opening in 2026 as well. It is also focused on families showing that lots of parks are really focusing on family experience. This area will feature many different species and different areas everything listed below is subject to change of course. Underground Cities will feature prairie dogs and a dig area for kids. Freshwater wilderness will feature North American River otters, Chilean Flamingos, and a water play area. Forest families will feature babydoll sheep, and at least one coati. There will also be an elevated walk over the Freshwater wilderness area giving an overhead view of the species in that small section. There will also be a climbing structure and a space for animal encounters. Also the Living World Building will get a second story addition to aid in education space.
