Wonder if they'll ever go on display.
I would expect when the African safrai area opens yes![]()
So what animals would you think they will stock this large new Safari with if the rhinos and Giraffe are not there?
Is this supposed to be a tie-in with the resort they're going to build on the state forest that the state government gifted to them?
Who said it was a gift?
Australia Zoo has three giraffe, one male, Forrest, from Auckland (?), Mapenzi, a pure blood Rothshild female born at Perth and another female. (From where?). The giraffe and rhino will be on display on the African Safari savannah thingy sometime. There will also be a giraffe feeding experience for the public (presumambly you will pay for the privalage to feed a few carrots).
Something like $95 for a giraffe encounter at Australia Zoo - gives you half hour with the giraffe keeper and a photo. Or you could go to any of our major zoos, catch the keeper talk and pay $5 to feed the giraffe. . . hmmmm
I was just about to ask what else can you see other than elephants and tigers? Are the red pandas on display up there?
One Bonus is, There's a good $15,000 there every week to push back into the zoo. They are good sales people. . .
I think a giraffe or two have or will move from Monarto to Australia Zoo. Pretty expensive stuff to see some of these animals.
