Chester Zoo Births at Chester...

A press realease is now on the Chester Zoo website about the bornean orangutan baby. The bay's name is Iznee and its mother is Sarikei for sure

I understand where some of this confusion has come about now.

And have Chester finally got there act together on releasing news stories?

I think Taun means some people were talking about the baby rhino and others about the baby orang utan.

As far as i know the Zoo only has the one Pudu now so dont' think it was a recent birth but I could be wrong. 3 Visaryan Warty Pigs were born recently though.

I defo saw two Pudu when I visited on Saturday, both adult...
 
I've checked the photo from Chester's facebook against the MyZoo image for the baby southern pudu, and the two are identical so I would be prepared to say that it is one of the pudu (also, I'm sure the man on the Waterbus said they have two, one was visible and he said the other must be inside or summat).
