Looking at Colchester Zoo's facebook one of the Aardvarks named Scorch left yesterday for Chester.

Scorch will be the only aardvark in the zoo.

Last I heard they are not looking for a male. They have 0.5

2009 female
2010 one baby not reared
2011 male.

They have bred three and reared two.

Thats different to what I have been told about the first one in 2009!!

She was reared to 30 days, I don't know how old she was when she died.

Is Stuma? [Okapi] pregnant yet?
Why are Blackbuck numbers seeming to decrease?
Has black Jaguar [Pele] died ?
Why does one Onagar appear to be kept away from the others, ie in the part of the enclosure closest to the footpath?

I don't know about the Onagers but it maybe the male?

The zoo won't annouce any pregnancies.

I don't know about Pele but I did see him in June but he may have I haven't heard anything.

Is Stuma pregnant,not that we know of but then if she was the staff wouldn't be telling anyone any way!

Blackbuck yes they have a few less,but if the zoo wanted more they could find plenty in Europe

The Onager kept on its own is the male!

Just because you can't/haven't seen something, it doesn't mean it has died. Pele is notoriously difficult to spot.
