Very sad to hear this. Yesterday i checked the webcam and thought the girls were acting different, staying together and up by the house alot of the time. Also around half 2 when the 'display/feeding' usually happens, the keepers only came out to them and didnt do it - now its clear why.
My condolences to all at Twycross zoo, and the best of luck for future attempts.
Hi, I am very confused right now!
I noticed this yesterday also. I even started worrying about them, because they seemed so forlorn almost. I was pretty annoyed that they werent allowed back in, thinking they were just too hot or something. I also noted that the keepers came out, but didnt do the training. But what we did notice was that one elephant seemed to be getting more attention, and we wondered if this must be Tara. The guy checking her over had her lie down, and I was thinking that cant be Tara, surely they wouldnt be A. making her do tricks, or B. examining her outside.
And then today, they were not our for most of the day, just a few minutes it appeared and doing some training, but I cant say if all four of the girls were out. The thing I am most confused by is, all the reports are saying the little baby calf was delivered at 3am Sunday morning, but if that was the case, why were they all out yesterday, and then not out at all today? And why is the news just breaking now? Did they mean delivered in the middle of Sunday night, early hours of Monday??
Can anyone clarify please? Als, I was convinced that Emmet was her dad, is there any confirmation of who he is please?
Really stunned and upset about Tara losing her calf, so saddening for the lovely Ele family she has.
