I live in the greater Toronto Area. If I could drive it would only take me about fifty/sixty minutes get to the Toronto Zoo. Using transit it takes about an hour forty five ;-;

It takes between 20 to 25 minutes from my front door to Birmingham Nature Centre, depending on buses! ;)
2 buses, 7 minutes on the first and between 10 and 20 on the second as the A38 can get quite busy at times! :p

Dublin Zoo is over an hour away from my house, but fairly close to my college. At least I do live in Dublin, though: as there's only one zoo and one wildlife park in the country, there are plenty of people much further away from them than me.

What about Tayto Park? :p

Phoenix Zoo is 6 minutes away and I can sometimes see the Desert Bighorn Sheep in the Desert Lives exhibit from my house when they're on the 'back' side of the exhibit. Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park is about 30-45 minutes, but I don't visit there anymore. There's also 4 more zoos (including the 2 AZDocent mentioned) within 90 minutes

I actually had no idea that place had animals until this post made me look it up (I thought it was just crisp-themed children's rides or something).

Was amazed to find out it had all these animals (like cougars and leopards) that aren't in Dublin Zoo. I am now much more interested in visiting!
