The Nonsense Thread

Zooboy28 - this kinda thing doesn't happen in NSW, so come up here. They probably do that in Victoria to pay for the extra heating they need in winter.

Don't you guys have enough Kiwis already? :p

I just came back from the supermarket and had to put a gold coin in the trolley to get it out of the stack, sort of like the trolleys in airports. Do you have to 'make a deposit' to get a trolley in the supermarket in NZ or in America or Europe folks?

I've never seen it in NZ, but I have overseas (possibly in Australia, I can't remember)

I can't believe I had to do this too, how ridiculous. I've never seen this in NZ or at any supermarkets in Europe, although I have seen it at airports. The other thing that annoys me is that you have to spend X amount of money to use eftpos, sometimes up to $20! I thought we were moving towards a cash-less society?

You can't walk past without paying these pipers. ;)

Big supermarkets don't have a minimum spend to use your card. Smaller shops do. Wait till you go to a Chinese restaurant: many don't take card at all, especially the ones in the food court.

yeah but there zooboy will just walk round behind the guy when he's busy talking to someone else, and eat the food while he's not looking....

I don't get any days off.

But next payday will be enjoyable!

The Germans are lucky. They get to have a month-long vacation.

Some parts of the US have it that you go to school for two months and then get one month off but they don't have summer vacation and go to school all year round.

What is Easter, if not just a four day weekend?

Turns out its actually a five-day weekend at uni, although I didn't know that before I arrived this morning...

Its all good though, gives me plenty of time to catch up on ZooChat :D
